NaNo Rule #19: When In Doubt, Don't Erase
After paragraphs of ho-hum doldrums, I just keep on writing. Kind of rehashing some issues from a past scene, adding some stupid details that I'll for sure delete later, being completely inconsistent with the timeline and basically having the character not do very much for 1,533 words today... There may be about 3 salvageable sentences in the whole lot, but I refuse to delete it.
I have drafts like this from all my books and sometimes it's not about the entire set of writing, it's about what ideas come out of it, the highlights, I guess.
So, I've kept it all there. Archived and ready to be chopped to bits later, but in for the count today.
DAILY WORD COUNT: 1,533
TOTAL WORD COUNT: 32,051
